RtI will effect children in all grades and is considered by many to be the biggest educational reform in over twenty years. The Community Forum will consist of a panel of Colorado's leading experts on RtI, including Ed Steinberg and Candy Myers from Exceptional Student Services and Jacquelin Medina, Supervisor/Director of gifted education. The event will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the Black Box Theatre at Cheyenne Mountain High School. It is free and the public is invited. On October 28th at 6:30 p.m. the LEAD Foundation will hold it's fifth annual LEAD Our Kids fund-raising event and celebration at the Penrose Club in the World Arena. LEAD Our Kids is the Foundation's main source of income to support a variety of community needs; including community forums, our new Resource Center, scholarships and assistive technology purchases. In addition to Australian wines, food, and recognition awards; the evening will feature a silent and live auction consisting of a wide variety of desirable items. To receive an invitation or make a donations of money, good or services, contact salle at sallehill at adelphia.net Applications are now being excepted for the 2007 LEAD Foundation Community Scholarship.
